VOCATIONAL EDUCATION TEACHERS, POSTSECONDARY SOC Code 25-1194 Entry Salary $24.50/hr Average Salary $30.60/hr Job Description Teaches Cosmetology and all related fields such as Esthetics and Manicuring and other nail services. Requirements 1. Must be at least 18 years of age. 2. Must have a High School degree or equivalent. 3. Must have graduated from an instructor program (500 hours). 4. Pass a written and practical examination. 5. Must be a licensed Cosmetologist, Nail Technologist, or Esthetician. 6. Must have worked for at least 50 weeks at 36 hours per week. Continuing Education There are no continuing education requirements for cosmetologists. School Located in Wyoming There are numerous beauty schools located throughout Wyoming. Contact the Wyoming Board of Cosmetology for a listing of licensed schools. License A license is issued by the Wyoming Board of Cosmetology after meeting the requirements of the state. A first year license is issued for one year from the month of acquisition. After that, licenses expire every two years during the licensees month of birth.
